Fall is in the Air!

Fall wouldn't be official without the fair!
On October 6th Ayden's class went to the Wayne County Fair Oink, oink Mommy and Ayden Hotdogs, french fries, & juice ***************************************** Next we needed some PUMPKINS! We stopped at a local fruit stand on the way home from school and the kids got to pick out their pumpkin and the next day we painted them Ayden was serious about his pumpkin Brock was serious about being silly :) Bethany was serious about making a mess Well I guess we didn't get enough pumpkins so we picked up a few more on our next field trip ************************************************** Ayden & Brock's class had a field trip to Mike's Farm On the way down there we took Brock and two of his friends from class, I heard Brock in the back say "now this is my daddy but if you are mad at him call him what my mom calls him... Joey" ... kids say the cutest things! We learned how to wash clothes in the old days. I am soooo glad we have washers now or I would be in a mess! Ayden & his teachers got to go onstage and sing
We went on a hayride The kids picked out their own pumpkin Then we had a picnic lunch Time to go back to school ************************************************ Halloween was on a Sunday this year so the kids got to dress up all weekend Friday was their Fall Dress Up party at school Brock was "Woody", Bethany was "Dorothy" and Ayden was a Power Ranger Silly Faces from Ayden's class
Happy Faces from Ayden's class "Oops, I almost dropped ToTo" Brock made the cutest cowboy! Friday was the day Goldsboro reserved as "Trick or Treat" night Our first stop was Joey's grandma & papa's house This is a special photo... Joey's grandfather has been going threw chemotherapy and it was so nice that the kids got to visit on a day that he was feeling ok. They love their great papa very much.
Next stop was grandma & papa Arbeau's house (my mom and dad) My dad was the only one home so he let the kids have all the candy they wanted!
Next stop was great grandma's house All the cousins were there so there was a house full of characters!
Our very last stop was grandma & papa with the gator's house (Joey's mom and dad)
We only stopped at a few houses but the kid's buckets looked like we had been trick or treating for days! ***************************************** Sunday was our Church picnic and Hallelujah Night at the Pine Level Park Ayden was the only brave one out of family to try the mechanical bull
There was a train ride The kids loved playing on the playground
My dad went with me to keep the kids rounded up We finished the day with a horse and buggy ride
I think the best part of fall is something so simple... the leaves. The colors changing and they way the fall. The other day we were driving to work and Ayden said "mommy, look at those trees, aren't they beautiful!" and I thought they really are. What a special gift that God gives us, a beautiful senery that so many times we take for granted. Take time today to look at the leaves, and maybe even go jump in them!
