Let's Celebrate Christmas Again!

Joey's grandfather passed away about a week before Christmas so with all the business of the funeral his grandma decided to start a new tradition this year. She decided that we could have Christmas after Christmas. So the week after Christmas we all got together for the "Best Family Christmas after Christmas." Our kids thought it was awesome, what could be better than two Christmas's!
We had a delicious fried turkey (thanks uncle Bryant).
After lunch and all the kids played outside while the adults tried to not bust from eating so much.
The joys of a 2 year old :)
Then we all came in for presents!
The kids got to open theirs first

while the teenagers waited to go next

Finally it was the older ones turn :)

This was a very first Christmas without great papa Best. I  think it was so neat that a circle that showed up beside grandma Best in this photo. To me it's a little reminder that grandpa Best may not be with us on Earth but we will see him again one day and until then we have guardian angels looking over us.

After presents
It wouldn't be right if we didn't get into a second helping of dessert!

After all the dishes and wrapping paper was cleaned up we headed home to take down our own ornaments.

It was sad to see the tree and decorations come down but we know that the greatest Christmas gift ever given, Jesus Christ, is with us all year long!
Merry 2nd Christmas from the Lancaster Family
