"Mom, look, my tooth is wiggling a little!" Oh, those are dreaded words to my ears! I am very squeamish of blood and such so hearing that my first born has now crossed over to losing his teeth was not something I was ready for!
Sure enough about 2 weeks after that initial wiggling tooth it was time for him to lose it.
Sunday after church Grandma Gator took a "look at it"
He was dramatic about it (he gets that honest from his mother :)
but just "one more look"
and it was out of there!
it didn't hurt a bit!
he was so excited!
and a little shocked
I think poor Bethany was traumatized by the whole thing
Ayden couldn't believe his new smile
"thanks Grandma Gator"
I can remember just as clearly the day I got a phone call from Ayden's daycare teacher...."I felt a tooth!"
Ayden didn't get his first tooth until he was 12 months old and it was the back tooth that came in first????
Now fast forward just 5 short years later and my babies teeth are falling out!
Even though he said that he doesn't believe in the tooth fairy I asked him to just try it anyway.
The next morning before school he woke up with a surprise under his pillow.
He was still half asleep so it had not quiet set in yet.
There was a note that read.
"You're mom and dad were right, I am real!
Thanks for the tooth and I'll see you in a few months.
Love xoxox
-The Tooth Fairy
Ahhhh, now it set in!
A whole dollar!
What a neat experience this parenting thing is! I can remember what it was like losing my first tooth and now my babies get to enjoy it.
I love my kids!
