Hipty Hopity, Easter's on it's Way!

We started our Easter celebrating on Wednesday by delivering eggs to all the special Mpact teachers in our lives and then again on Thursday for all our school teachers. Whewww, that was a lot of eggs to make
Each egg had a bottle of nail polish and said
"May everyday be as colorful as Easter
because of the
resurrection of our Lord and Savior"
The kids had fun passing out their eggs

Thursday was also their last day of school because of Spring Break
They brought home lots of candy from their Easter parties
Saturday I took the boys to the barber shop and then we made a pit stop at Krispy Kreme for HOP donuts *YUM*
When we stopped at the pet store to look around look who we ran into!
Later that day we headed over to Grandma Arbeaus to dye eggs with our cousins

It was surprisingly not messy at all

They dyed over three dozen eggs
When we got home to made "resurrection rolls"
They were super easy to make and showed a great picture of Easter.
All you need is crescent rolls, butter, marshmallows, cinnamon and sugar
The cresant rolls represent the "tomb Jesus was buried in"
 and the marshmallows represent Jesus
The cinnamon is the "spices that were supposed to be rubbed on Jesus after he passed"
When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus' body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, "Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?"Mark 16:1-8

you roll up the marshmallows into the crescent rolls and then bake for 8-10 minutes

 and after they cool......
 open them up
and Jesus (the marshmallow) is not there!
this sparked Ayden to go get his children's bible and read the story again.
 Daisy even listened in.
The next morning the kids had an Easter surprise waiting for them
 skittles and m&ms, Bethany's favorite!
That chocolate bunny was just calling Ayden's name

Brock had went to sleep before we finished our rolls the night before so he got to see the surprise.

M&Ms for breakfast..... I wonder how their preschool teacher at church is going to like this?????

It is such a blessing to hear Ayden be able to read now
"Mom, I don't this this Easter Bunny guy is real?"
a few quick shots as we were leaving for church

getting sillier with each snap so we headed for the car
After church (which was awesome by the way) we headed to Grandma and Papa with the gators house

I always get a family shot on Easter right before we eat and get all messy
this time CoCo wanted to be in the picture

how, oh how do I ever survive in this family :)
after lunch grandma handed out her goodies
They each got a stuffed animal which they love getting (even though they already have hundreds). They always act like it's the first one they've ever got
and they got tons of chocolate!

Ayden dug in immediately before I had the chance to say "not right now"

and Bethany was right behind him.

 next was the egg hunt

Even "Barry" the bear joined in

Brock gets board pretty easily so he gave up a few minutes into the hunt
 but not his competitive brother

 or sister
it didn't take too much longer though and they were all riding bikes
Next we headed over to my mom and dads for more food
 and egg hunting!
 all the kids stayed inside
while the adults hid the eggs outside
they couldn't help but peak... just a little
even little Sebastian was ready to get outside
 on your mark,
 get set,
 ready,
 Go!

it ws so fun to watch them all

when all the eggs were collected we came in and counted each basket
 1st place won $5, 2nd place won $1, 3rd won .50, 4th won .25 and the rest won a pack of m&ms
next everyone headed back out for bubbles

Time came to head home
but not before"itshugrandma" handed out her goodies
and we had some cake for "uncle Eric's" birthday that was on the 5th
It was a great Easter filled with family and lots of food
but most of all with love and knowing that we have a loving Jesus that died for us, each and every one of us so many years ago. I am so thankful for my family but thankful first for my Jesus, for without Him, I would have nothing.
1 Peter 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead..
Happy Easter!
