Our July 4th started with water and ended with water
1st stop was at the Bailey's house to try out their new pool!
then we headed home for a July 4th cookout at our house
Ayden was so excited to see what grew in the garden!!!!
Joey and his dad took care of the hotdogs and hamburgers
and all the ladies took care of the rest
We got fresh corn from the Bailey's garden
Wesley remembered the watermelon! Good job Wesley
Sebastian is almost a year old!!!!
Our new dog Twister enjoyed meeting all his new "family members"
The kids took a short break from the pool to eat dinner
Then it was right back to the pool!
The cookout was a lot of fun and the kids were completely wore out
***************************
A few days later we headed to the beach!
We actually got to see a few fireworks
Bethany loved having cousin Brylee there
Saturday morning Ayden decided to tryout for the "Anaconda Club"
It involves standing on the tall post
and diving in "blind"
and he did it!!!!!
Ayden now joins his father, and his father's father in the club
Bethany stayed safe in the kiddie pool
Brock is still scared of the canal so he stayed on land
a little later that day the rest of the cousins arrived!
Joey and his dad picked up a new toy.... a crab pot
Brock decided to try riding without training wheels....
he still has a little bit of practice
We all headed to the beach
and the pictures speak for themselves how much fun the kids had
Showers, dinner and ......
sleep!
but not for everyone :)
it took the rest of the crowd another couple hours until they were finally out
The next morning, Sunday, it was time to head home
but we had to check the crab pot first
and we caught something! actually the nice ham bone caught something :)
After we let got the blue crabs sleeping on ice we headed back in for breakfast,
Uncle Tony and Joey enjoyed looking at the rocks over breakfast
while Brock sang praises his breakfast was so good
Then we cleaned up, got a few family shots for mom and headed out :(
When we got to the bridge it was turning so we made a be line to the Park and enjoyed some playtime while we waited for it to turn back
It was a great July 4th and we look forward to next year!
