Easter Weekend
Our Easter celebrations started on Wednesday night. Ayden and I stayed up late, 11:30 (
I know I'm a terrible mother for letting my child stay up that late,
he's usually in bed at 8:30) making Easter cards and small presents for all of the kid's teachers. Each teacher (7 in all) got a pair

of colorful socks and some lotion wrapped in tissue paper with a homemade card that said "With all the hopping around you do for our children you need a good foot rub and some comfy socks" I bought sand buckets and let Ayden & Brock design their "Easter basket" with stickers and markers.
The next day, Thursday, Ayden & Brock ran through the daycare delivering their gifts to their teachers, it was adorable. That same day the boys had

an Easter party and Easter egg hunt at school.
Friday afternoon we went over to grandma and grandpa's house (my mom & dad's) to color eggs. They made such a mess but my mom doesn't mind a tide dyed table so it was fine. They had so much fun coloring eggs with their cousins.
Saturday was a free day we just hung

around the house and then they went back to my mom and dads that night while Joey was in the Easter

drama at church and I did nursury duty for the Easter drama. That night when we got home the story of the ten commandments was on so we were able to share the gospel with Ayden a little more and he could see a show that went with it so that was neat.
Sunday was the big day.
We went to church at 9:00 and then stayed for the Easter drama at 10:45. The drama was performed 4 times since Thursday and each night had anywhere from 400 - 700 people and over hundred people gave their life to Christ, it was amazing! Joey pl

ayed the part of Peter, one of Jesus' closest disciples. After church we headed to grandma and papa's house (Joey's mom and dad) for lunch, Easter baskets, an egg hunt, and the best surprise of all, a new (really it was used, a gift from Joey's aunt who was moving and needed to get rid of it) trampoline!
Then we went over to my mom and dad's again for a second lunch and egg hunt with Mallory, Abby, & Chloe. The boys played so hard while Bethany stayed inside and did what she does best ... let great grandma feed her. The kids all fell asleep on the way home, they were so exhausted.

After all the kids had baths last night it was time to help daddy cut his beard off. For the past couple of years he has played the same part in the play and had to grow his beard out and this year the boys were old enough that they could join in on the glorious celebration of it coming off! I sorted all the candy, emptied all the eggs so they could use them again later, bagged up all the Easter grass

up so that could be r

eused and found places for their Easter buckets to be used and we all turned in about 9:30.
This was a great Easter. We are so grateful for our gift of salvation from Jesus and the blessing and miracles that He gives us everyday!
