Ayden was so ready to go to the dentist today. I told him earlier this week that we would be going so when I walked in his classroom this morning to pick him up to go he jumped up and ran to me saying "are we going to brush my teeth!?!?"
As soon as we got to the door of the office he ran in and starting panting like a dog (he does that when he's excited) and had the biggest smile on his face. We had to wait for about 20 minutes in the waiting room so to keep himself busy we went through my stash of books and magazines first and then his imagination took over; he counted the square tile flooring but that got old after he got to 20, so then he decided he wanted to be on a ship. The lite tan leather seat then became a boat. He said it was a black boat and the water was real nice. He made sure to let the older man

who was also waiting know that he was now on a boat too.
Finally he heard his name being called and he darted into the hallway and right into the children's room decorated with a scuba diver painted on the wall with 3D accessories including a treasure chest with real coins in it.

Ayden jump up into the chair and with his mouth wide open.

The dental assistant showed Ayden all of the neat toys that she was going to use, the whole time Ayden kept that big grin on his face.
He was such a big

boy getting his teeth cleaned, flossed, and counted. We were done in about 20 minutes.
His next appointment was set on March 26, 2010; Ayden will be 4 years old that day! Sometimes I really wish I could just stop time, wrap it up tight and put it in a bottle.
Today the dentist, next the DMV, then diploma, and dating ..... ok too much for one thought!

"Let them be little,
'Cause they're only that way for a while.
Give 'em hope, give them praise,
Give them love every day.
Let 'em cry, let 'em giggle,
Let 'em sleep in the middle,
Oh, but let them be little.
