I have to remind myself all the time that each one of my children are different and I have to embrace that.
Ayden loves to be dramatic {like his mother} and enjoy the details of every little thing but Brock just loves life and goes with the flow.
I had it all planned out..... Brock was going to be excited about opening his cards, helping make the cup cakes, and planning his birthday.... nope. He said he wanted monkeys, cheese, & French toast and that was about all the participation he was going to have with the planning and hosting of his birthday!

Monday night when Joey and I got home from our ministry director's meeting about 10:30 pm we started on the decorating for Brock's birthday and making 36 perfect little jungle cupcakes.

A little before 1:00 am we finished up.
A few hours later I dropped Brock off at school. Another one of his favorites is PB&J so that's what he had for breakfast. We had Curious George goody bags& cupcakes for all of his friends at school.
After school we headed home for the party!

Since Brock wanted cheese & French toast we had a whole "Breakfast for Dinner" spread complete with strawberry French toast, bacon, honey buns, breakfast caserol and orange juice.

The kids played outside and then we had cupcakes and then went inside to open presents.

Brock was sooooo excited to get a fire truck that was his daddy's when he was a little boy. He also got a bike, two frogs {later Ayden named them Rocky & Tom} and sweet photo that his cousin Abby colored for him :)

After presents were opened Brock was ready to play with his toys and be left alone so we all called it a night.
Later Brock got a bath and reminded me that he was still my baby by asking me to "hold him like a baby"

like he does every night when he gets wrapped up in his towel.
He made one more trip around the house on his "old" bike and called it a night.
My life would be so different if it were not for Brock; he is my baby that keeps me up all through the night (which he has done since he was 12 hours old) wanting juice, a pacy, his hand in a pillow case or some times just to crawl up and sleep next to me.

Brock can melt your heart in a moment with his smile and make you forget that you are tired or irritated with his silly little chuckle and a dance. He has a playful and carefree spirit about him that makes you just enjoy life.
Happy Birthday 3rd Brockie, thank you for reminding me to chill out and enjoy the moment.
I love you!
