We kept busy in the house coloring and doing odds and ends
until later that next day it was safe to go outside
"look mommy, a flower"
We were lucky because the water only seeped in a little bit this time instead of ruining the entire living room floor like it had done during past hurricanes.
the darker spots are all water
one of our favorite trees was completely uprooted
it was sad to see it go
The next day was a Sunday but the power was out at church so we spent the day picking up limbs and
repairing our neighbors fence
I thought this little guy was cute, in the whole mess of the yard there was a little slug just as happy as could be on the outside pillows
this horse wasn't too happy with the ride it went on :)
We were lucky that our fence stayed in place
This tree was a huge one that was completely uprooted not too far from our house
This kids had fun doing cleanup duty with dad
The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain. ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
