And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
-Romans 8:28
No one wants to wake up to this! "Mom, Twister ate the couch!"
Apparently there was a mouse in the house and the sweet hound dog that we adopted a few weeks before was going to get ride of it.... at all costs! We were devastated what were we going to do with our couch and there was no way we could afford another one right now. So, I got a pillow to replace the cushion and covered the whole couch with a blanket to try to repair it. The next day I had lunch with a few sweet ladies from church and shared the story of our couch. At this point I was able to laugh about it. Well a few days later I got a text from the daughter of one of the ladies that was there. She asked if I still needed a couch because her fiance was selling his set for $100. I said YES but needed a week until payday. Well Joey went to go pick up the couch and chair (which by the way is what we have wanted since we got married) and it went perfectly!!!! and the best news of all.... she said NO CHARGE!!!! How amazing is that, a new couch and a new chair from a mess the new puppy made!
A few months later our dryer was making an awful noise and just as I said Joey we've got to fix it .... it died! We bought that dryer 10 years ago used for $75 and it chooses now to die!!!!! Well we learned from the last time... "God provides all our needs according to His riches" so as a family we gathered in a circle holding hands infront of the dryer and prayed "God you know our needs" please provide..... an hour later Joey got a message... "you still need a dryer" and guess what???? for $50 we got a better dryer than we had before! That's my God!
