Grandparent's Day

Friday, September 9th the Ayden's school celebrated "Grandparents Day." To give Joey's mom the "full effect" of going to school with Ayden we let her participate in the whole morning routine.

We all left our house at 7:00 am. All the kids rode with grandma in her truck and I lead the way with no kids in my car, it was very weird having a quiet  30 minute ride to work.

First we dropped Bethany off at her school (daycare). She wanted to take her picture by a tree :)

Then we headed to Ayden and Brock's school. We took Ayden to his class and then headed to the library until 8:15 when it was time for Brock's preschool class to open.

Every morning I am so blessed to have a little extra time in the morning to spend with Brock before his class so to pass the time, Brock and I will say bye to Ayden and head to the school's library and pick out a special book to read.

Today Brock chose a book titled
"What Grandmas Do Best"

At 8:15 we walked Brock to class, kissed him bye and headed to meet Ayden for "breakfast with our grandparents"
Ayden was very happy to see his grandma again. I guess he thought his only surprise that day was riding to school with her that morning :)
They enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and then Ayden got to show her his classroom and she walked him to PE class as she was leaving. I know it blessed him to have his grandma at school with him. I can remember how nice it was for me as a little girl to spend time with my grandma so I love that Ayden is able to enjoy that same time with his grandma!
