Christmas is on the way!

The day after Thanksgiving it begins!
We always get our tree picked out fresh from the trucks that are coming back from the mountains the Friday after Thanksgiving and start decorating.
This year the kids were better about recognizing ornaments, it was so cute to see them all excited to see ornaments with their names on them.

They were so helpful deciding where they need to be placed on the tree.

Brock was my helper for the nativity scene. He came running out with the bull and donkey and placed them exactly where he thought they may have been on that very first Christmas night.
He then added humor by dancing around in his silly way.

Next was the lights & blow ups. This was the Ayden's favorite part!

Now it wouldn't feel like Christmas if you didn't get to talk with Santa!
The kids attended a pancake breakfast at Charles B. Aycock
where they got to talk with Santa on December 3rd

When they got home Brock pretended to be Santa and Bethany and Ayden sat on his lap and told him what they wanted. It was the cutest thing!

We also got our annual Christmas card shoot done. This year we headed to Seven Springs and found some really neat backgrounds

and here's our 2011 Christmas cards
I say it every year but I truely believe this will be the best Christmas yet. I love this time of year! I am so blessed and so thankful for what God has done for our family and I can't wait to write about all the neat things that happened this Christmas season...... so there will be more to come!
