A Room Fit for a Princess

In February of 2006 Joey and I were putting the final touches on the nursury where just a month later Ayden Matthew would be calling his room. I remember it like it was yesterday how Joey and I were trying to decide if Ayden would like blue or pale green better. We spent extra money on the paint that was easy to clean thinking that Ayden would be in that room for years to come...... the key word was "thinking."
Twelve months after Ayden arrived he was kicked out to make room for little brother "Brock" He was fine with it though, because he got a "Cars" room
Just as Brock was getting cosy in his crib...................
we had to break the news to our little three month old that in a few months he too would be kicked out of the nursury to make room for his baby sister, "Bethany."
Well, three years later Bethany was the lucky one who was able to keep the nursury as her room and not have to relocate to make room for another baby. After three years we decided we can officially call it Bethany's room so so Joey and I decided to surprise her and make her a "room fit for a Princess"
Bethany received some Christmas cash so asked her what color she would love to have her room, the answer was "pink" of course!
We let Ayden do the honors of riping the Winnie the Pooh border down that had survived (barely) through all three babies. As he ripped it down I felt my heart tug a little thinking of how fast my babies had grown up

Joey and I stayed up until 2:30 in the morning on Friday night and then spent the next day making a room that would tickle Bethany pink
and here's the result.......

The picture says "I know I'm a princess because my daddy told me so"
How fitting!
Look closely at the mirror and you can see if Bethany liked her room
The light switch that was our inspiration

Daisy, our Jack Russel liked the room too
It was hard to see the nursury transform in a big girl room but it's part of life, our babies grow up and so we must grow with them. Thank you Lord for my babies but thank you more for them sleeping through the night!
Yes, Bethany you are a princess because your daddy says so but most importantly you are a princess because your Heavenly Daddy, the King of Kings says so!
Psalm 139:13-16  For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
