January 29th our small group made gift bags and visited the Ronald McDonald House in Greenville to give them to the families staying there. We loaded up after second service
Most of the kids rode in a van
and the smart adults rode in a different (much quieter) van :)
we stopped for lunch once we got to Greenville
Then we had a little surprise in store
Stacey, one of our small group members was about to be deployed
so we honored him with a gift (our next book we would be reading as a group) and homemade book marks from each family to use with the book.
and CAKE! Yummy!
next we headed to the Ronald McDonald House
self timers can be tricky
We met a family whose little one only a week old would be having open heart surgery just two days later.
We found the wall with all the photos of patients who had come through.
One we recognized was Kennedy Dean who had just went home after surviving a brain aneurysm.
It was so touching to be able to allow our children to go and see just how blessed we are and how important that we bless others!
