In 1 Timothy 5:3-4 it says Honor widows who are truly widows. But if a widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show godliness to their own household and to make some return to their parents, for this is pleasing in the sight of God.
Well, my grandmother is a widow and she's my grandmother so it's a double wammy that I take care of her to please God :) So, we try to do little things for her throughout the year. This day Joey, myself and the kids went over to do some yard work.
The kids mostly played.....
but they did get a little stick pickn' up time in too ....
Brock tried to find a four leaf clover.
Bethany decided she would just take his if he found one and not waste her time looking.... but thought it wouldn't hurt to try to find one.
no luck finding one though :(
Grandma got a new dog named Susie 2
as I was mowing the grass I looked over and saw Joey at the bottom of the tree and the kids in the tree. I thought, awww, that's sweet, their first time climbing a tree and daddy is watching. ......
but little did I know.....
The kids were actually stuck in the tree and daddy was trying to get them down!
Needless to say, their first experience climbing a tree will probably take therapy to erase lol!
Ayden decided to take over mowing the grass
and he did pretty good.
While I replaced the American flag, the kids cleaned my van
and Ayden mowed, and mowed, and mowed a little more.
The kids all had a great day, Bethany loved playing,
Ayden was excited he got to mow grass for the first time
and Brock loved his new toy.....
the stuffed bear, not the dog :)
that kid sure does love stuff animals!
oh, and they tried tree climbing again.... just not so high this time
