Bethany's Easter Egg Hunt

What kid doesn't love a good Easter egg hunt??? I've always wondered why we don't do Easter egg hunts all the time because they are so fun!

Bethany's class had been making eggs and learning nursery rhymes all month preparing for Easter (and she had been learning at home and church the true meaning of Easter :)

Earlier that month Bethany's teacher, Mrs. Hughes' mother passed away and I thought the peace lilly brought in for remembrance was so pretty.
Bethany, the kids and I actually went to the visitation. This was the first time Bethany had been to one.

It was chilly that day so coats went on first.....
all the kids lined up outside
 buckets in hand....
 the kids waited so patiently

time for the rules and boundaries....
 Ready... Set.....
 Go!
 and their off!

Ok, time to come in and see who's got the most!

 1, 2, 3,........

 You got how many!?!?

That sweet face of Bethany's classmate, Abby, sums up the day, it was a precious day filled with lots of colorful eggs and sweet memories.
Little did I know that a month later the little blonde haired girl, Kelsey, standing beside Bethany would also go to be with Jesus this year. That week we were celebrating the death of Jesus on the cross and how because of what He did we too can live again and weeks later a little girl was able to be with Jesus.... kinda made that little Easter egg hunt a little more memorable.
