Friday, May 15th we had our Mother Daughter sleepover at church. It was an 80's theme and it was a blast! When everyone arrived they signed in and received at "back stage pass" with their name on it and a goody bag. Each hot pink goody bag had a neon hair extension, a notebook, pencil, & a slap bracelet (remember those, they were to coolest!).
We had hotdogs & chips for dinner.
In each room we had activities and games.
The Prims room had dance, dance revolution.

The Daisy room had wooden photo frames for the girls to decorate.
In the Stars room American Idol on the Wii was set up.
In the Friends room it was the make up room
where the girls could get their nails, hair, & make up done.

In the Honor Stars room they had a photo shoot going on.

To bring the girls all back into the main room we played loud dance music and it didn't take long until all the girls and moms were up dancing and learning line dances together. It was so precious to see the smiles and laughter in that room.
Next we had a "Pretty in Pink" fashion show where the mom's wrote out the girls decor and then they got to strut their stuff down the runway which consisted of a line of girls Indian style on each side on the floor. The final event of the night was "make your own" ice cream sundaes. We had caramel, oreos, pineapple, raspberry, walnuts, & chocolate

syrup for toppings. About 11:30 the girls had all of their air mattresses and sleeping bags out and were ready for bed. Some of the teachers snuk out in the middle of the night to "decorate" one of our pastor's yard and vehicle. I was able to go home because all my babies are still too little for sleepovers and Joey had to be at work at 7:45 that morning. The next morning the moms and daughters had everything cleaned up and were out by 8:30 am. You would have never known there were over 100 females in that building the night before. Our theme

was "A Blast From The Past You'll Never Forget" and I truely think that was accomplished. As adults it's hard sometimes for us to let go and be a kid again but when your in neon colors with big hair is

makes it a little easier.
