Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

About two months ago we were out yard-saling (Brock's absolute favorite thing to do) and Brock came across a reindeer. He quietly said "mom, a reindeer, can I have him?" I didn't see what he was talking about but sure enough, there tucked away under some toys was a reindeer. It was a $1 for the reindeer which I thought that was a little too much for a stuff animal at a yard sale but it was important to Brock so I bought it. We got him home, cleaned him up and that reindeer has not left his side since.
A couple weeks ago Brock forgot "Reindeer" at home and Joey actually had to meet up with one of my co-workers who lives in Goldsboro who had not left for work yet so we could get Reindeer to Mount Olive so "he wouldn't be scared."
So when we heard that Brock's Christmas Performance was going to be a Rudolph theme we were so excited.

Friday, December 16th was Brock's preschool performance. I took that day off of work so I could spend all day with my little man. First, all the students were fitted with their reindeer hats that had antlers made out of their hands and arms. Next, their noses were painted red and they made their way to their special spots.

About 10:15 all the parents and grandparents started arriving

It was so cute to see the restless children start to get serious as their family started coming in.

The first song they sang was Jingle Bells
Then Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer (Brock's favorite)
Then as a surprise to the parents they sang "Silent Night"
Oh, my, I could not hold back the tears as well as almost all of the other parents. There was just something in the air when they sang; all those sweet, innocent children singing about the very meaning of Christmas was overwhelming to my soul.
It was absolutely precious!

The very last song was "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"
After a round of applause and the children taking a bow.... it was party time!

It's amazing how excited we moms get over pasta and pictures
This ornament is one of my favorites this year.
Brock got lots of goodies in his cubby from his friends.
He loved the fruit punch too!

We absolutely could not have picked better teachers for Brock.
Both Mrs. Hughes and Mrs. Sasser treat all the children just like they were their own.
We are so blessed to have them in Brock's life!
I"m thankful that my grandma was able to make it to see Brock's performance too!
She brought her new walker that has a built in seat that Brock found fun for him too :)

When it was over we let Brock choose were he would like to eat lunch.
He chose Chick fil A so he could play in the play area.
We had a great lunch and a wonderful day of spending time with our "little Rudolph"
