As usual everyone brought in a wrapped $20 gift to play "dirty Santa"
I set out my "cheesy" decorations that no one likes but
everyone ends up enjoying by the end of the day :)
We had great snacks
and dessert
and sides
tamales (I think that's how you spell it)
and fried turkey!
We all joined around the table about 12:00
This year we got a special treat. Kenney's daughter, Isabelle,
sang a few beautiful songs from the Polar Express
It was very touching, her daddy got a little teary eyed :)
I had a little surprise of my own too
While we were eating I went around the room and
asked people to give me a verb, noun, adjective and so on....
Once we went around the room a couple times I read the story that our group had wrote from the words they had given me.
"Twas the night before Christmas"
It was really funny.
Next the dirty Santa game began.
Poor Rick!
Ayden got out of school early so he got to join in just in time for dessert.
He was excited because he had a special Christmas gift for me
"open it now momma!" he said
Inside was a wonderful calender of 2012 and
every page was made with my babies handprints.
I absolutely loved it.
Kenney ended up getting lottery tickets so they crossed their fingers and scratched the tickets.......
But no luck for him..... Isabelle on the other hand got a gift card so she headed out with her winnings :)
It was a great gathering with my Andy's family!
