The preschool that both Ayden and Brock attended are offered through NC Pre-School formally More at Four. You have to be accepted into the program so I put Bethany's application in way in advance to make sure that she would be able to get in. Well, we recieved the notice that she was not accepted at this time and would be put on the waiting list. I have to be honest, my heart sunk and I was crushed for Bethany. I broke the news to her and told her the only thing we could do was pray about it and if it was God's will for her to get in then she would. Not only did we have to pray that she would get in but also that she could be accepted at the Carver Elementary site so I would be able to take her and pick her up everyday. So we prayed..... and two days later... the acceptance letter came in the mail!!!!! I love how God works. Bethany's whole preschool experience became richer with her praying to get in and then having God answer the prayer and so quickly, that was just amazing!
The morning of her first day Bethany was up early getting dressed and "putting her make up on"
I love that Bethany is a girly girl. It is so fun to see the outfits and accessories that she comes up with each day.
Well we arrived at school and dropped off her brothers and then it was time for Bethany to go to class.
As we did with Ayden and Brock on their first day Bethany got her photo taken by the Carver Tiger
and we made the trip up the wooden walkway just as we did everyday last year with Brock but this time the littlest one going too was Bethany's baby doll.
We waited for 8:45 when the doors opened in she went!
I was so happy for our baby girl, this was the day she waited and prayed for and now it was here!
There was another little sweet bonus with Bethany entering in preschool..... no more daycare! Now don't get me wrong, I loved the kids going to daycare but our wallet was really excited about no daycare :)
Over the past 6 years we have paid over $40,000+ in daycare but I have to say it was all worth it for the amazing people we have met and the love and care that has been shown to my babies.
Yup, this year was a milestone year in the Lancaster family. All our babies are in school now, they are becoming more and more independent everyday. It's only by the grace of God that we survived these past 6 years! Three babies in three years, Three strong willed personalities, 40,000 in daycare, thousands in diapers and pull ups, terrible twos, terrible threes, fall out fours, up all nighters, numerous books and parenting classes, giving up bottles, pacifiers, and sippy cups. The past 6 years have flown by' they have been some of the hardest years for Joey and I but boy have they been the funnest! It's amazing watching our little ones grow and develop their own personalities.
Bethany was absolutely glowing on her first day.... mom was an absolute basket case leaving the parking lot.
So excited about the many more milestones we have coming our way.
