And two shall become one.....

Joey and I were mountain bound!
Joey's cousin Megan was getting married in the mountains so we headed uphill.... right after we got the kids fed, dog fed, clothes packed, kids to grandmas, van gassed up, house cleaned, called to check on kids, checked on the dog, and the list went on and on and on ..... :) but finally .....
we left early Saturday morning about 9:00 am and headed to Boone, NC

This was just a two day trip but it was exciting to us!
 No kids!

 No sharing our food!
 No screaming in the backseat!
We met a couple from our church at the bottom of the mountain and rode with them
 it was a s- t-e-e-p way up!
but once we got there it was breathtaking!
The wedding spot was just a small area on top of the mountain but it had so many little details that made it so special.
When you sat down it was so peaceful, the temperature was perfect, the sun was shining, but not too much, the wind was just right and you could hear all the sounds of nature in the background.

Several of Joey's family were there. We sat with his cousins Margie and her son Kyle (her other son, Conner, was in Jamaica on a mission trip)and Jeannie & her husband Mickey
and behind us was Joey's Aunt Debbie and cousin Paige
once the wedding started you stayed captivated the whole time with the simple beauty of it.

the groomsmen came marching through the field

 and Megan was beaming!

You could feel the spirit of the Lord the entire time
At one point they played a song about welcoming the holy spirit; as the song was playing the clouds literally parted and the sun rays made the most perfect natural spotlight on Meg and Andrew.

After the wedding ceremony we all took some pictures and headed to the reception up the hill

Attending this wedding was really a blessing. This gave us a beautiful picture of what we'd like for our children one day and just a reminder of why marriage is such an awesome gift. So many times we take for granted the amazing miracle that God provided Adam so many years ago when he put him in a deep sleep, took a rib and formed a life partner, Eve. I hope one day our children will have a wedding day as memorable as this and most of all I hope they can say, mom and dad you gave us a Godly example to model.
and the two are united into one.' Since they are no longer two but one,
