Mpact & Rangers 2013 Awards Ceremony

This year was my 10th awards night I was able to be a part of for Rangers and Mpact, my 5th as a momma
2009
2010

 2011
 2012
and my 5th as a director. I have to say this year was the best one yet. It was the very first one that we combined with Rangers and the first one in the new sanctuary. Being the first combined and in the new sanctuary we had a lot of work cut out for us! First we had to make sure the kids all knew where to sit. Second we had to figure out how to have a reception with enough food and Third we had to figure out how we were going to get over 300 kids on and off stage and awards handed out in an hour.
Joey, myself and the kids put signs on the chairs the day before (Tuesday night)
Weeks ahead of time I got pictures of Ranger and Mpact to make a slide show
all the volunteers are so organized and awesome. They had gifts for each child and badges glued on and ready for the big night.

Jamie Cooper took the pictures I sent her and made a awesome program so you could see who the teachers were and what the classes were all about.
a team of media volunteers were ready Wednesday night to tackle all the little details that make a big difference and make an event so special.
This year we had two special guests to open up the ceremony. Miss Olivia Haveri sang The Star Spangled Banner while Sophie Myers played the violin.
 Joey had the flags ready....
Teachers started staging the gifts and awards...
Media was set...
 Practicing began....

Senior Commander Brad Stevens and I took are places and ran over last minute details....
 The girls began

 Flags came marching in...
 After a few opening words

the first class up was the Daisies
Then Ranger kids 1
I was partial to this class because it's Ayden and Brock's class!

Then Ranger Kids 2
Next up was Prims (one of our largest classes),
Then Discovery Rangers,
Then Stars Club
Then Honor Stars
and then our Adventure Rangers
and the last & oldest Mpact class the Friends Club
All my volunteers surprised me with a special gift which was so wonderful. I was so excited to get my very own origami owl necklace and 31 tote!
When the awards were finished (in an hour... yay!) it was reception time! I had the help of a few ladies and teenagers who set up while the ceremony was going on (thank you Jesus!) We had each class bring in a certain item (cupcakes, chips, carrots, ranch, juice boxes, etc.) so we would have just the right amount.

The reception was quick and we had just the right amount of food and drinks!

by 8:30 it was time to go and we went into clean up mode!

It was a great night and the kids were wore slam out (peace and quiet for mom and dad :)
......., "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
Luke 10:27

Lord help me to remember how important this command is, let my children always love you first allowing everything else to fall in your perfect will for them.
