With Grateful Hearts........

One thing that I have tried to instill in our kids is gratefulness. It warms my heart when I see the joy they have around birthdays, special events and the end of the year when we start making gifts  let others know how special they are to us. The end of dance, preschool, kindergarten and first grade was a busy time for us because we had some pretty special teachers this year!
For Brock's & Bethany's teachers we gave them flip flops that said we hope you have a "flippen awesome summer"
For Ayden's teachers we made monogrammed signs out of crayons.
For Ms. Grandma that has been so sweet to my children the past two years (Bethany & Brock's preschool volunteer grandma) we made her a container of kisses with special messages attached to them.
For Bethany's dance teacher (who was also Brock's assistant teacher) we made a dance cd and a special picture from Bethany's hand prints.
Making the gifts is just half the fun! I love to see the kid's faces when they get to GIVE the gifts.

There's a question I heard that said: "What if you woke up TODAY with only things that you thanked God for YESTERDAY?"
My goal as a mom is to teach my children to be so thankful that ever did happen they would wake up with everything they had the day before.
