First we started with a good breakfast (well, cereal, that was as good as it got on this day :)and then it was time to get ready for the game!!!!
Brock made sure to have Reindeer (he goes everywhere with Brock since he got him almost two years ago at a yard sale)
It just got serious... game time!!!!
National anthem was played
team huddled up
and batting order was called!
fill in coach for the day was a pretty little princess named Taylor
"Ok, dad, I'm up
and she swings......
(and swings, and swings, and gets on base!)
Next up is Brock!
and he gets a hit on the first shot!
Way to go Brock!
Evan slides in first.....
Then Bethany, then Brock
now it's time to go in the outfield
It's also so fun to watch the kids all excited to run out to the field
and about three minutes later....
they gradulally go from standing straight up, to leaning, to
stooping down, to
playing in the dirt!
but the batting again is always just a few hits away!
Look at Brock slide! He's got it down to an art already!
It was great to see that Bethany was not the only girl out there.
Papa Gator and Ayden cheered them on from the stands
and the game ended with a tie (they don't keep score in tee ball)
"Good game, good game"
"We won!"
"Can we have hotdogs now?"
"seriously, where are the hotdogs?"
Here they come!
The coach was Mr. Michael Holmes with his side kick Mrs. Kayla keeping him straight :)
Great game, great friends, great hotdogs.... Saturdays in the spring are the best!
